WHO IS A MOTHER
This is my own explanation of a mother. Who a mother is can be derived from the spelling of M O T H E R! So here we go.............................
M Manager. A good mother manages her home very well. Managing a home cannot be outsourced. The moment the managerial status eludes the mother of the house, the home crumbles.
O Organiser. The mother of the house should be able to organise the home more effectively than anybody else.
T Teacher. A good mother should be able to teach her children. How often do you as a mother teach your children the ways of God rather than the ways of man. You should teach them especially the females good dress sense.
H House Keeper. A good mother is the heart of the house. She keeps her home with passion. She makes sure nothing goes wrong. She sees to it that things are put in their proper positions and places.
E Economist. A good mother is the finance minister and central bank governor of the house. Suffice it to say that even if the home is awash with cash, without sound and prudent management the family will find itself in abject poverty.
R Responsible. A good mother is responsible for all the her children and husband. When one is responsible for others she is also responsive to their needs.
May we pray that God should bless all good mothers in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

LET YOUR NAME BE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE
The teaching today 6th
February, 2019 at The Lord of Hosts Miracle Chapel centred on what we must do
to have eternal life. Text is from Luke 10:17-37
There are two segments of the
teaching. The first segment was about the seventy people our Lord Jesus sent
out to profess the word of God. When they came back they reported that they did
exploits so much so that even the demons were subdued at the mention of the
name of Jesus Christ. They exuded so much excitement in their testimony.
However Jesus exhorted them to strive to always do those things that will make
their names be written in Heaven, rather than just rejoicing that the demons
were subject to them. As we go out this week may we strive to do the bidding of
our Lord Jesus Christ so that our names be written in the book of eternal life
and if already there may our names not be removed in Jesus mighty name.
The second segment was the
lawyer’s encounter with Jesus. The lawyer trying to tempt Jesus asked Him what
he must do to inherit eternal life. He thought he was smart but Jesus was
smarter when He asked what the law said in the statute books. The lawyer
answered correctly when he said “you shall love the Lord your God with all your
HEART, and with all your SOUL, and with all your STRENGTH, and with all your
MIND; and your neighbour as yourself.”
This shows that our love for
God must be total and not haphazard. This is as encapsulated in Luke 10:27 with
the key words HEART, SOUL, STRENGTH and MIND. And your NEIGHBOUR as yourself.
The lawyer was not done yet.
He continued in his game of smartness when he wanted to know who his neighbour
was. Our Lord once again outwitted him with a parable of a man attacked by
thieves and left half dead. A priest passed by without helping. Likewise a
Levite. But a good Samaritan stopped and helped the battered man, sheltered him
and deposited money for his upkeep in a guest house.
Now the question is who is
neighbour to the battered man. For the third time the lawyer answered correctly
pointing to the good Samaritan. And Jesus admonished him to go and do likewise.
The teaching made us to
understand that our neighbour is not just the person living near us. It could
be that person in need that we meet on our way, or the person that needs a
sachet of water from us, or that person that is hungry and we know it. The list
is endless. May God grant us the grace to have the gift of giving as we hear
this word in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

HEZEKIAH'S SEEDS IN THE HOUSE OF GOD
Calvary greetings beloveth.
Below is the sermon today at Lord of Hosts Miracle Chapel, plot 116, 5th avenue Gowon Estate, Egbeda.
Theme: Hezekiah’s seeds in
the house of God. Text: 2nd Chronicles 29: from verse 1.
Hezekiah ascended the throne of his forefathers at the tender age of 25 years. As soon as he ascended the throne, he swung into action on the very first day of the first month. He opened the doors of the house of God and repaired them. The doors had not been opened for a long time. He also called in the priests and Levites to sanctify the temple which his predecessors had defiled. This action of his forefathers kindled the wrath of God and God visited the people of Israel with grave sufferings. Hezekiah atoned the benevolence of God asking Him to temper justice with mercy on the people.
These are some of the seeds Hezekiah sowed in the house of God. He followed the footstep of his father David by exhibiting diligence and devotion in things of God.
We should therefore strive to do something for God before expecting Him to do something for us. Are we sowing in the house of God? Are the seeds adequate? We need to sow adequate seeds if we must attract God’s favour.
Hezekiah’s seeds saved him when God wanted to cut his life short. He reminded God of all the things he did in His sanctuary and in turn God spared him and elongated his life. Hezekiah ruled for 29 solid and eventful years.
So brethren let your seed
work for you as you go about your business this week. God bless us all in Jesus
name. Amen.
